Tolaini Al Passo Toscana 2022 (750 ml) Tasting Notes

Tolaini Al Passo Toscana 2022 is a wine that boasts a harmonious blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, the wine exhibits spicy oak notes that are complemented by the unmistakable fragrance of cherries and berries. The palate is characterized by a solid backbone of Sangiovese, which is perfectly balanced by the roundness of Merlot and the added body of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, Tolaini Al Passo 2022 showcases the purity of the fruit and the unique characteristics of each varietal. It is an unfiltered wine, and as such, some sediment may occur at the bottom of the bottle.

Critic Ratings

James Suckling Review - Rated 92:
Attractive nose of dark cherries, blackberries, walnuts, cocoa and subtle spices. The palate is compact and well-structured, with a medium to full body and a fine tannin texture, finishing with a lingering and precise focus.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Review - Rated 91:

An easy-drinking blend of equal parts Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the Tolaini 2022 Al Passo is a plump and softly textured red wine that would taste great next to a classic burger and fries. This medium- to full-bodied red is very bright and primary, but it also shows good balance and freshness, which make it perfect for food.

Wine Spectator Review - Rated 92:

Sour cherry, raspberry, almond, sanguine, iron and menthol flavors are the heart of this resonant red. Beautifully balanced and supple, this extends on the vibrant, fruit- and savory-tinged aftertaste. Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
