Brilliant in character with a fine sparkle. An intense and complex nose of slightly candied fruits, followed by aromas of fresh pastry, grilled almonds, subtle hints of honey and gingerbread. Well-rounded and developed, the wine brings a feeling of fullness while its beautiful minerality leaves an outstanding sensation of freshness. Grand Siècle offers a perfect balance between strength and delicacy.
Grand Siècle pairs with high quality produce and refined dishes, particularly "surf & turf" combinations, seafood and noble finish.
Critic Ratings
James Suckling Review - Rated 99:
This iteration is highly aromatic, with honeysuckle, violet and lavender joined by bread dough, light caramel, dried apple and cooked pear. Graphite, stone, iodine and chalk add a reductive mineral dimension to the full-bodied but nearly weightless palate. Nine years on the lees give it exceptional energy, length and a finish that continues for minutes.
Jeb Dunnuck Review - Rated 98:
Jeb Dunnuck awarded Grand Siècle Iteration No. 27 a 98-point rating. The score places this release among the elite prestige cuvées of Champagne. It complements the wine’s exceptional concentration, refinement and long-aging profile.
