Tasting Notes and Description
Tasting Notes For Diamond Creek Gravelly Meadow Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Our second coolest micro-climate is our five-acre Gravelly Meadow vineyard. Originally a pre-historic river bed, this stony, gravelly soil drains rapidly and the vines struggle for moisture.
Gravelly Meadow is our lowest yielding vineyard. The wines are described as "earthy, cedary, jammy and ripe blackberry with a spicy expansive finish."

Critic Ratings
Ripe and a bit showy in feel, with a blast of cassis and plum puree notes liberally laced with violet, singed apple wood and red licorice. A mix of iron and warm stone accents cut in on the finish, pulling everything together as the violet note takes an encore. Best from 2022 through 2038. 647 cases made. — JM
