Wairau River is a New Zealand winery located in Marlborough, which is known for producing some of the world's best Sauvignon Blanc wines. The winery was founded in 1991 by Phil and Chris Rose and their four children. Today, it is run by their sons, Hamish and Sam.
Wairau River produces a range of wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Riesling. Their Sauvignon Blanc is particularly noteworthy and has won numerous awards, including several gold medals at the New Zealand International Wine Show.
The winery sources grapes from its own vineyards in the Wairau Valley, as well as from contracted growers throughout Marlborough.
