Tasting Notes and Description
Tasting Notes For Truchon Allier Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2023
Truchon Allier Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2023 is a small-production Cabernet crafted by Truchon Cellars, a hillside Napa Valley winery devoted to traditional winemaking techniques, environmental stewardship and wines that express a clear sense of place. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grown at two distinctive vineyard sites—a rocky hillside in the Stags Leap area and a small grower vineyard just north of St. Helena—the wine combines classic Napa Valley richness with an elegant, Old World-inspired character.
The 2023 Allier opens with aromas of dark cherry, black currant and violet, complemented by earthy bramble and pronounced mineral notes. Concentrated dark fruit flavors unfold across the palate with balanced intensity, refreshing natural acidity and a structured, lingering finish shaped by the cooler 2023 growing season. Pair this refined Cabernet Sauvignon with grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, wild mushroom dishes or aged cheeses such as cheddar and Gouda.
