Critic Ratings
James Suckling Review - Rated 99:
Massive concentration and dense tannins make this a formidable young Cabernet, but the material points to major improvement with age. Intense blueberry, dark chocolate, graphite and tobacco leaf are wrapped tightly in fine-grained structure. Produced entirely from the low-yielding Mondavi Heritage Clone 31, it should show best from 2030.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate Review - Rated 98:
Black cherry and cassis define the densely colored bouquet of this single-block Heritage Clone Cabernet. The full-bodied palate is concentrated yet notably fine, elegant and silky. A long finish and exceptional balance elevate it above the other bottlings from the vintage.
