Stags' Leap Winery sources this Chardonnay from cooler southern Napa Valley sites, with most fruit coming from Carneros and a smaller portion from Oak Knoll. San Pablo Bay fog helps the vineyards retain freshness and acidity, while the two areas contribute citrus, mineral, tropical-fruit, and stone-fruit character.
The 2024 release offers lemon crème, white pineapple, melon, citrus blossom, magnolia, Golden Delicious apple, Asian pear, and lemon curd, supported by vanilla, brioche, and ginger. Gentle pressing, stainless-steel and French-oak fermentation, lees stirring, and the absence of malolactic fermentation preserve vibrancy alongside a creamy texture and mineral finish.
