Sequoia Grove Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2023 (750 ml) Tasting Notes
2022 Vintage Profile
The prior vintage opened with sweet vanilla, pepper and spice, followed by blackberry, strawberry and berry-pie aromas. Its round, full-bodied palate carried red fruit and bright acidity, with dark blackberry, red cherry and savory peppercorn characters forming the established Napa Valley Cabernet profile.
The 2022 winemaking record describes fruit from Sequoia Grove and Tonella Estate vineyards in Rutherford together with selected Napa Valley growers. Grapes were hand sorted, cold soaked and fermented in small lots before barrel malolactic fermentation and extended maturation in French and American oak.
