Planeta Cerasuolo di Vittoria 2024 (750 ml) Tasting Notes
Planeta's 2024 Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG comes from the Dorilli and Mogli vineyards around Acate, between the sea and the Iblean mountains in southeastern Sicily. It is composed of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato, two indigenous varieties grown on loose red sandy soils over a moisture-retaining tufa layer.
The producer describes cherry, strawberry and pomegranate aromas, with mulberry, sandalwood, coriander and Sichuan pepper among the wine's red-fruit and spice tones. The palate carries black pepper, carob and sweet cherry into a lively, rounded and savory finish, a profile Planeta associates with organic and SOStain cultivation.
