Tasting Notes For Pieropan Soave Classico DOCG 2023
Brilliant straw yellow color with greenish hints. The delicate nose is reminiscent of almond blossoms and marzipan. Good depth of fruit on the palate, nicely balanced by a zingy acidity that enhances its long length.
This wine makes an excellent partner for soups, starters, especially vegetable based such as asparagus, peas, courgette, egg-based dishes or seafood and fresh water fish dishes. It is an excellent aperitif, especially when served with simple canapés.

James Suckling Review - Rated 92:
Brothers Dario, the oenologist and Andrea, the agronomist, are responsible for more than 70ha of proprietary vineyards across both volcanic and limestone sites, while championing the indigenous varieties, Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. Telltale aromas of white pepper, jasmine and ripe orchard fruit accents. While this is a blend from a litany of sites, each is vinified separately before blending. A fine smoky plume across an effortless, tenacious finish. A delicious, easygoing and highly fidelitous expression of the region.
Wine Enthusiast Review - Rated 92:
This elegant wine is a classic and standard bearer of Soave. It shines with aromas of ripe Fuji apple, orange blossom, marzipan and lemon oil. Cool and crisp on the palate as if biting into a perfect apple, this wine shines with amazing textural depth and finishes with vibrant acidity
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Review - Rated 91:
The organic Pieropan 2022 Soave Classico (in a screw-cap bottle) is beautifully fresh and balanced with citrus, white peach and crushed stone. The aromatic assembly is simple, but that's exactly what attracts you to a wine like this (made with 85% Garganega and 15% Trebbiano di Soave in cement tanks). It falls easily over the palate, refreshing along the way, reviving the senses and definitely inviting the next sip.
Wine Spectator Review - Rated 90:
Bright and minerally, this focused white expands on the palate, offering creamy flavors of Honeycrisp apple and pickled ginger, a tropical touch of guava and accents of slate and pink grapefruit zest. Long, lively finish.
