Experience the pure essence of Sonoma Coast with the Migration Pinot Noir 2021. This elegant and poised wine offers an array of dark berry notes including raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and ripe cherry, intertwined with a hint of baking spices. With balanced tension and refined tannins, the palate is both sophisticated and effortlessly delicious, while the finish lingers with subtle flavors of cedar and cassis.
Crafted with precision, the Migration Pinot Noir 2021 is the product of proactive measures taken in the vineyards. Early suckering and pruning, targeted irrigation, and careful cover crop management ensured healthy vines despite receiving just 50% of the average rainfall. Mild-to-warm temperatures in spring and summer allowed for slow and even ripening, resulting in early flavor development at lower Brix with high acidity. The Chardonnay harvest began on September 1st, and the Pinot Noir harvest was completed on October 2nd, to ensure balanced acids and concentrated flavors.
Migration is dedicated to crafting wines from the finest cool-climate winegrowing regions highlighting lush fruit, bright acidity and impeccably balanced oak. This dedication has taken us to the storied vineyards of California’s Sonoma Coast, where clockwork fog and Goldridge sandy loam soils have contributed to a Pinot Noir with beautiful high-tone red fruit flavors of cherry, cranberry and strawberry and enticing hints of orange-cinnamon spice.
