Marine Layer Lyra Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2023 (750 ml) Tasting Notes
Marine Layer Lyra Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2023 brings together selected barrels from coastal vineyard sites. Fruit from the Marine Layer Vineyard in Sebastopol Hills is joined by lots from Green Valley and Petaluma Gap.
Cranberry, rose petal and citrus-peel notes meet gentle spice and herbal accents. Fine tannins and lively acidity give the red fruit a fresh, finely textured feel.
The wine aged for eleven months in oak, with twenty-five percent new barrels. Enjoy this 750 ml Pinot Noir with roast poultry, salmon or mushroom dishes.
Critic Ratings
A bright medium ruby color, the nose of the 2023 Pinot Noir Lyra is lifted and fresh, with focused, bright spice notes of ripe cranberries, cinnamon, fresh roses, and bright herbs. Medium-bodied, this carries seamlessly to the palate, with vibrant, fresh energy, fine tannins, and salty fresh accents. Drink 2025-2035.
