Lingua Franca's 2023 The Plow Pinot Noir opens with Damascus rose, mineral salt, and cardamom aromas. The palate brings plum, black cherry, lemon peel, dark mineral tones, black tea, and savory herbs, with a fresh, succulent texture and a long, savory finish.
The fruit comes from estate Blocks 1, 2, and 3 in the Willamette Valley, planted on Gelderman-Jory soils. After hand picking and sorting, the wine underwent wild-yeast fermentation and spontaneous malolactic fermentation before aging in new and neutral French oak, followed by stainless steel.
