Heitz Cellar Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 (750 ml) Tasting Notes
Heitz Cellar's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grown across estate vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford, Howell Mountain, St. Helena, Oak Knoll and Calistoga. The winery farms sustainably, with CCOF organic certification and Fish Friendly Farming certification, and blends these sites to express the breadth of Napa Valley.
Each vineyard lot is fermented and aged separately in French oak while the winemaking team evaluates the components for the final Napa Valley blend. After barrels are selected for the single-vineyard wines, the remaining lots are assembled and the finished Cabernet receives an additional year of bottle aging before release.
Critic Ratings
James Suckling Review - Rated 94: A medium-bodied cabernet that achieves a good, lively balance. Red and black cherry, dark chocolate, black olive and spearmint flavors on moderate tannins. Good freshness. Drink now or hold.
