Tasting Notes and Description
This Wine Tasting Set is Made Up of the 3 Bordeaux Blend Wines Below:
Matchbook The Arsonist Red Blend 2018
The 2018 Arsonist Red Blend has expansive aromas of violet, rose petal, saddle leather and orange peel. Broad flavors of blackberry, plum and cassis fill the palate; a hint of dark chocolate and baking spice adds complexity to the blend. Firm, but refined tannins add good structure and long, silky finish. This robust red is delicious now and will age gracefully for those with the patience to wait.
Pair this layered and complex red blend with a Filet Mignon, slow-roasted Osso Buco or peppercorn-crusted New York strip steak.
Chateau Larose-Trintaudon Haut-Medoc Bordeaux Blend 2016
Nice ruby color, sparkling clarity. Nose of fresh strawberry accompanied by subtle notes of oak and vanilla. On the palate, it is the indulgent and attractive side to the wine that dominates. Very good roundness with a very supple tannic structure. Plenty of charm and elegance with a soft and smooth finish. To be decanted 1 hour before tasting Enjoy from now until 2023/2025.
Chappellet Mountain Cuvee Bordeaux Blend 2019
Blended from the traditional Bordeaux varietals, including our own coveted grapes, the Chappellet Mountain Cuvee Proprietor’s Blend builds on our five decades of experience crafting great Napa County mountain-grown wines. Each component varietal in the cuvée contributes nuances that complement each other. The result is a complex array of aromas and flavors that deliver pure pleasure in a glass. Made for more near-term enjoyment, this is the wine to choose when you’re looking for vivid, mouthfilling fruit flavors.
This alluring Bordeaux-varietal blend displays aromas of concentrated fruit and spice, with layers of red currant, cassis, cinnamon, vanilla and clove, as well as hints of earthy forest floor, wild sage and sweet toasty oak. On the palate, plush, impeccably balanced tannins carry the lush red and black fruit flavors to an elegant, lingering finish.
