Tasting Notes and Description

Tasting Notes Gran Moraine Yamhill Pinot Noir 2019

Aromas of blue Raspberry candy, soy sauce, lilac, wet soil, tamarind, Earl-grey tea, blood orange. Flavors of tangerine, pomegranate, sassafras, saffron, pipe tobacco, spruce tips, Himalayan blackberry. Lively acidity up front with energetic and youthful tannin structure. The mid palate transitions seamlessly into a long and dark fruit driven finish. Acidity pulls forward off the finish creating a perfect paring opportunity for rich earthy foods.

Critic Ratings

Wine Spectator Review - Rated 93:
A vibrant red that's multilayered with raspberry and tart cherry flavors that are accented by crushed stone and dusky spice notes, building tension toward medium-grained tannins. Best from 2030.

James Suckling Review - Rated 93:
Aromas of dark strawberry and stone with some orange-peel undertones. Medium to full body with a solid texture of pure tannins and a fresh finish. Curated and focused. Sustainable.

Jeb Dunnuck Review - Rated 92:
The 2019 Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton is perfumed with savory fresh pine, grapefruit, cedar, and incense as well as black cherry fruit. The palate is dry, revealing notes of black raspberry, tobacco, and dusty earth.
