Tasting Notes and Description
This Wine Tasting Set is Made Up of the 6 Bordeaux Blend Wines Below:
Orin Swift Cellars Papillon Bordeaux Red Blend 2018
Chalk Hill Estate Red 2017
It opens with intense aromas of blackberry, anise, lavender and dark chocolate. The palate offers more savory qualities like iron, tobacco and bay leaf while broad, supple tannins tie all of the flavors together. The finish is strikingly long and complemented by a slight toastiness from the oak influence. Appealing in its youth, this wine will also age beautifully over the next 15 years.
Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection Claret 2018
Chateau Saint Sulpice Bordeaux 2018
This wine is vinified as if it were a "classified growth": complete de-stemming, eight-day fermentation in new temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aging in vats for several months before bottling. This approach emphasizes the natural red fruit characters. The wine exhibits black cherry, spice and plum notes, with great depth and balance.
Barton & Guestier Chateau Magnol Haut Medoc 2016
Deep and brilliant cherry red with violet highlights. Expressive, rich and complex nose mixing black berries (blackcurrant, black cherry) and well balanced spicy and minty notes. Harmonious, well balanced full, fine and elegant with ripe tannins. The aftertaste is rich and aromatic (fruity, spicy with a hint of vanilla and tobacco notes).
Chateau Lassegue St. Emilion Grand Cru 2012
It displays a deep, crystalline color and a bright violet-ruby rim. The nose is expressive of crunchy ripe red and black fruits, flint, rose petal and violet.
The palate strikes immediately with a density of texture, balanced and lifted by bright acidity and freshness of fruit, which gives way to notes of spice underpinned by silky, elegant tannins. The long finish is driven by vibrant acidity, bright fruit, and a chalk dust-like minerality.
