On the nose, aromas of red cherries, ripe raspberries, brambleberries and blueberries mingle with violets. Toasted brioche and sweet tea tease you to take a sip. Offering immediate palate appeal, the wine displays a beautiful balance of bright acidity and well-integrated tannins supported by a touch of warm French oak. Velvety and ripe with a lingering finish, all indications point to a long life ahead.

Aged sur lie for nine months in 55% new French oak, it is a merriment of earthly delights. Just-picked strawberries in tilled soil, mocha-kissed cherries and cinnamon coriander are demonstrative on the nose and palate. Basil and sage are echoed in the red-fruited finish. — Meridith May

A hint of stemmy earthiness leads the way to a luxurious, expansive and velvety palate. The acidity is edgy and fresh, lifting the savory and floral components over a rich, complex berry core. VIRGINIE BOONE

The 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley reveals a healthy ruby color as well as terrific raspberry and cherry fruits, medium-bodied richness, a supple, elegant mouthfeel, present yet light tannins, and a good finish. It's charming, and while it drops off slightly on the finish, it’s balanced and satisfying. It should have 7-8 years of longevity. - Jeb Dunnuck
